Bolt Pharmacy Review

Bolt offers weight-loss treatment in both oral and injectable categories. We name no medicines on this page; which treatment is appropriate is a clinical decision made after consultation.

You start with a short online consultation, which Bolt describes as a three-minute questionnaire. A clinician reviews it to decide whether treatment is suitable, and Bolt says approval is usually within 24 hours. Prescribing is handled by AIOS Technology Ltd, a separate CQC-registered provider; Bolt Pharmacy then dispenses. There is no in-person appointment, and not everyone will be eligible. That is a clinical judgement, not a formality.

Bolt prices the injectable weight-management treatment in six dose steps rather than at one flat rate, and the step you are on is what decides the monthly cost. On the standard one-off price the ladder runs from £169 a month at the lowest step to £319 at the highest. Read from Bolt's own product page on 20 September 2026.

A subscription that renews monthly is cheaper at every step by exactly £20 an order, which Bolt states as “you save £20 every order”: that ladder runs £149 to £299. The subscription renews automatically and Bolt says it can be cancelled at any time. Because dose usually rises over the first months, the figure worth planning around is the price at the dose you expect to settle on, not the one you start at.

There is also a first-month discount, and Bolt's own pages do not agree on its size. The site-wide banner says £30 off the first month while the product page labels it £29 off. Either way it applies to the first month only. The standard prices above are the ones that recur, and are the figures we record.

That matters more than it sounds: several providers in this market charge for consultations, dose reviews or ongoing support on top of the treatment price, so a like-for-like comparison should account for it.

Tracked delivery to a UK address is included in the price. Bolt says orders are typically dispatched within one to two working days once a prescription has been issued, and delivery times after that are estimates rather than guaranteed dates. If nobody is in when your order arrives, the courier leaves a card so you can collect it or arrange another attempt. As with most couriers, a missed delivery is not refunded, so plan to be in when it arrives.

You can cancel at any time before your order is dispatched and get a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days. Once an order has shipped it cannot be cancelled or refunded, and medicines cannot be returned or exchanged after they have left the pharmacy. That is standard across UK pharmacies rather than a Bolt policy, as there is no change-of-mind right on prescription medicines. Damaged or incorrect items are refunded.

Bolt publishes a complaints process, which is more than many providers in this market do. You can raise a complaint by email, telephone, post or WhatsApp, and clinical concerns go through the secure messaging in your patient account or a dedicated clinical email address.

Bolt says it acknowledges complaints within two working days and aims to give a full written response within twenty.

If you are not satisfied with how a complaint is handled, you can take it further: to the General Pharmaceutical Council for anything about the pharmacy, or the Care Quality Commission for anything about the prescribing service.

Bolt Pharmacy appears on the General Pharmaceutical Council register under number 9013085, with the status Registered. No notices or conditions are recorded against that registration. It is owned by Bolt Healthcare Ltd (company number 15149039), an active UK company registered as a dispensing chemist. Prescribing is by AIOS Technology Ltd (company number 12373906), registered with the Care Quality Commission as an independent doctor service since January 2026, with CQC provider ID 1-24113481942, location ID 1-25516432019.

Bolt Healthcare Ltd has been named four times in the MHRA's advertising investigations, in July 2025, December 2025, March 2026 and July 2026, in each case among companies that amended their advertising following MHRA action on promoting prescription-only medicines to the public. The July 2025 entry names the company as “Bolt Healthcare Ltd t/a Fella Health” only, and the March 2026 entry as “Bolt Healthcare Ltd t/a Bolt Pharmacy and t/a Fella Health”. There is also an ASA ruling, upheld on 29 July 2026. The MHRA notes these lists relate to specific advertising action on a particular date and are not a judgement on a provider's ongoing practice.

This is common across the UK weight-management sector: the July 2026 publication alone names seven providers, including Numan, Simple Online Pharmacy and The Family Chemist. We checked the same three sources, namely the GPhC register, the CQC register and the MHRA advertising archive, for twelve UK pharmacies, including this one, whether or not they pay us.

Registers checked 5 September 2026. MHRA and ASA records checked 14 September 2026. The CQC has not yet inspected the prescribing service, so it holds no rating. Registration confirms a business appears on the official register and is not currently subject to conditions. It is not a quality rating or a medical endorsement.

Trustpilot rates Bolt Pharmacy 4.5 out of 5 from 6,527 reviews, split 84% five-star, 5% four-star, 1% three-star, 1% two-star and 9% one-star. That is Trustpilot's rating, not a Peptide Clinic Finder rating, and we do not publish a score of our own for this provider.

Positive reviews consistently mention fast delivery, often within 48 hours; responsive and supportive staff; a straightforward website and ordering process; thorough eligibility checks; and regular check-ins from the care team.

Critical reviews are mostly about delivery logistics rather than clinical care, such as waiting windows, occasional delays, and conflicting information about orders. Some customers also note that discounts favour new customers over existing ones. Bolt replies to around 99% of negative reviews, usually within a week. Checked 5 September 2026.

Bolt is a genuinely UK-regulated operation, and we checked that rather than assuming it: the pharmacy, the prescribing provider and the company behind them all reconcile on the official registers, and the pharmacy's record is clean. In a market where plenty of providers are hard to trace to a real business at all, that counts for something. On price it is among the most competitive options available, and including support and delivery rather than charging separately for them is a real advantage that is easy to miss when comparing weekly figures.

The main caution is commercial rather than clinical. Bolt's advertised weekly price is a promotional first-month rate, and anyone comparing providers on that number is comparing the wrong one.

The service is also new enough that no regulator has inspected it, so there is no independent verdict on clinical quality yet, only on the fact of registration. That is not a mark against Bolt so much as a limit on what anyone, including us, can currently tell you.

For a remote, price-led service from a properly registered UK pharmacy, Bolt is a credible option, provided you plan around the ongoing rather than the promotional cost.
