Bolt Pharmacy Review
Trustpilot 4.5 out of 5 from 6,527 reviews — Trustpilot's rating, not ours (checked 5 September 2026)
Bolt Pharmacy is a UK online pharmacy offering weight-loss treatment entirely remotely. It competes mainly on price, and its weekly costs are among the lowest published in the UK.
Quick verdict
One of the cheapest properly registered UK options, with support and delivery included rather than charged as extras. Its Trustpilot rating is strong — 4.5 out of 5 from over 6,500 reviews. The one thing to understand before signing up is that the advertised weekly price is a first-month promotional rate, and it rises after that. Consultation is online only.

Who Bolt Pharmacy is best for
People who want UK-regulated weight-loss treatment handled entirely remotely and who are comparing mainly on cost — particularly if you are comfortable with an online questionnaire and messaging-based support. It suits you less if you want a face-to-face consultation, or if you are budgeting from the advertised weekly price rather than the ongoing one.
This profile is designed to help users compare the program before beginning intake. It is not a recommendation that any treatment is appropriate.
Pricing and access
Weight-loss plans run from about £11 per week for the oral option to about £42 per week for the highest-cost injectable option. Subscribe-and-save plans are cheaper per week than one-off purchases. Prices checked 5 September 2026.
The advertised price is a first-month rate. The weekly figure you see advertised is a promotional rate for your first month and it goes up afterwards. Work out the twelve-month cost before you decide.
Available across the United Kingdom only. Treatment is supplied only after an online consultation and a prescribing decision.
Treatment, consultation, and delivery
Bolt offers weight-loss treatment in both oral and injectable categories. We name no medicines on this page; which treatment is appropriate is a clinical decision made after consultation.
You start with a short online consultation — Bolt describes it as a three-minute questionnaire. A clinician reviews it to decide whether treatment is suitable, and Bolt says approval is usually within 24 hours. Prescribing is handled by AIOS Technology Ltd, a separate CQC-registered provider; Bolt Pharmacy then dispenses. There is no in-person appointment, and not everyone will be eligible — that is a clinical judgement, not a formality.
Tracked delivery to a UK address is included in the price.
What the price includes
Tracked UK delivery, with no minimum order and no delivery charge. Unlimited messaging with a care team. Follow-up consultations, with no separate charge for check-ins or reviews.
That matters more than it sounds: several providers in this market charge for consultations, dose reviews or ongoing support on top of the treatment price, so a like-for-like comparison should account for it.
Delivery, cancelling and refunds
Tracked delivery to a UK address is included in the price. Bolt says orders are typically dispatched within one to two working days once a prescription has been issued, and delivery times after that are estimates rather than guaranteed dates. If nobody is in when your order arrives, the courier leaves a card so you can collect it or arrange another attempt. As with most couriers, a missed delivery is not refunded, so plan to be in when it arrives.
You can cancel at any time before your order is dispatched and get a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days. Once an order has shipped it cannot be cancelled or refunded, and medicines cannot be returned or exchanged after they have left the pharmacy — that is standard across UK pharmacies rather than a Bolt policy, as there is no change-of-mind right on prescription medicines. Damaged or incorrect items are refunded.
If something goes wrong
Bolt publishes a complaints process, which is more than many providers in this market do. You can raise a complaint by email, telephone, post or WhatsApp, and clinical concerns go through the secure messaging in your patient account or a dedicated clinical email address.
Bolt says it acknowledges complaints within two working days and aims to give a full written response within twenty.
If you are not satisfied with how a complaint is handled, you can take it further: to the General Pharmaceutical Council for anything about the pharmacy, or the Care Quality Commission for anything about the prescribing service.
Regulatory status
Bolt Pharmacy appears on the General Pharmaceutical Council register under number 9013085, with the status Registered and no notices, conditions or enforcement history. It is owned by Bolt Healthcare Ltd (company number 15149039), an active UK company registered as a dispensing chemist.
Prescribing is carried out by AIOS Technology Ltd (company number 12373906), registered with the Care Quality Commission as an independent doctor service since January 2026 — CQC provider ID 1-24113481942, location ID 1-25516432019.
We checked both registers on 5 September 2026, and you can check them yourself — the GPhC register and the CQC website are both public. One thing worth knowing: the CQC has not yet inspected the prescribing service, so it holds no CQC rating. Registration confirms these businesses exist on the official registers and are not currently subject to conditions. It is not a quality rating or a medical endorsement.
What customers say
Trustpilot rates Bolt Pharmacy 4.5 out of 5 from 6,527 reviews — 84% five-star, 5% four-star, 1% three-star, 1% two-star and 9% one-star. That is Trustpilot's rating, not a Peptide Clinic Finder rating, and we do not publish a score of our own for this provider.
Positive reviews consistently mention fast delivery, often within 48 hours; responsive and supportive staff; a straightforward website and ordering process; thorough eligibility checks; and regular check-ins from the care team.
Critical reviews are mostly about delivery logistics rather than clinical care — waiting windows, occasional delays, and conflicting information about orders. Some customers also note that discounts favour new customers over existing ones. Bolt replies to around 99% of negative reviews, usually within a week. Checked 5 September 2026.
Our assessment
Bolt is a genuinely UK-regulated operation, and we checked that rather than assuming it: the pharmacy, the prescribing provider and the company behind them all reconcile on the official registers, and the pharmacy's record is clean. In a market where plenty of providers are hard to trace to a real business at all, that counts for something. On price it is among the most competitive options available, and including support and delivery rather than charging separately for them is a real advantage that is easy to miss when comparing weekly figures.
The main caution is commercial rather than clinical. Bolt's advertised weekly price is a promotional first-month rate, and anyone comparing providers on that number is comparing the wrong one.
The service is also new enough that no regulator has inspected it, so there is no independent verdict on clinical quality yet — only on the fact of registration. That is not a mark against Bolt so much as a limit on what anyone, including us, can currently tell you.
For a remote, price-led service from a properly registered UK pharmacy, Bolt is a credible option, provided you plan around the ongoing rather than the promotional cost.
Strengths and drawbacks of Bolt Pharmacy
Strengths
- Among the lowest published weekly costs in the UK online weight-loss market, and visible before you start a consultation
- Support is included, not upsold — care-team messaging and follow-up consultations sit inside the plan price
- Delivery is included and tracked, with no minimum order or delivery charge
- Properly registered, with a clean record — pharmacy, prescribing provider and company identity all reconcile on the official registers
- A clearly documented complaints process, with published response timescales
- It engages with criticism — replying to 99% of negative reviews is rare
Drawbacks
- The advertised price is not the ongoing price — the headline weekly figure is a first-month promotional rate
- No in-person option — everything is done online, which will not suit everyone
- No independent inspection yet — the prescribing service registered with the CQC in January 2026 and has not been inspected
Frequently asked questions
Is Bolt Pharmacy legitimate?
Yes. Bolt Pharmacy is on the General Pharmaceutical Council register under number 9013085, with no notices, conditions or enforcement history, and it is owned by Bolt Healthcare Ltd, an active UK company registered as a dispensing chemist. Prescribing is handled separately by AIOS Technology Ltd, registered with the Care Quality Commission. We checked both registers on 5 September 2026.
How much does Bolt Pharmacy cost?
From about £11 per week for the oral option to about £42 per week for the highest-cost injectable option, with tracked UK delivery included. Subscribe-and-save plans cost less per week than one-off purchases. The advertised weekly figure is a first-month promotional rate, so check the ongoing price before committing. Checked 5 September 2026.
Why is Bolt Pharmacy so cheap?
Partly because it genuinely is low-priced, and partly because the advertised figure is a first-month promotional rate that rises afterwards. Bolt stays competitive at its ongoing rates, but the headline number is not what you pay from month two.
What is included in the price?
Your treatment, tracked UK delivery, unlimited messaging with a care team, and follow-up consultations. There is no separate charge for support or check-ins, which is worth factoring in when comparing against providers that bill those separately.
Do I need to see a doctor to use Bolt Pharmacy?
Not in person. You complete an online consultation, and a clinician reviews it to decide whether treatment is suitable. Prescribing is done by AIOS Technology Ltd, a separate CQC-registered provider. There is no face-to-face option, and not everyone will be approved.
How does Bolt Pharmacy delivery work?
Tracked UK delivery is included in the price. Orders are typically dispatched within one to two working days of a prescription being issued, and delivery times after that are estimates rather than guarantees. If nobody is in, the courier leaves a card so you can collect or rebook.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Bolt says orders are typically dispatched within one to two working days once a prescription has been issued. Delivery after dispatch is an estimate rather than a guaranteed date, and many customers report receiving orders within about 48 hours.
Does Bolt Pharmacy deliver outside the UK?
No. Bolt supplies within the United Kingdom only.
Is Bolt Pharmacy easy to cancel?
Before dispatch, yes — cancel any time and get a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days. After dispatch, no: orders cannot be cancelled or refunded, and medicines cannot be returned once they have left the pharmacy. Missed deliveries are not refunded either.
Can I get weight-loss treatment on the NHS instead?
The NHS does provide weight-management support. A GP can give advice and refer you, and in some areas you can refer yourself to local weight-management services without seeing a GP — what is available depends on where you live and is a clinical decision. Bolt is a private service and is not connected to the NHS. We cannot tell you what you would be eligible for, but your GP or local NHS weight-management service can.
How do I contact Bolt Pharmacy or make a complaint?
By email, telephone, post or WhatsApp, with clinical concerns going through the secure messaging in your patient account. Bolt says it acknowledges complaints within two working days and aims to respond fully within twenty. If you are not satisfied, you can escalate to the General Pharmaceutical Council for pharmacy matters or the Care Quality Commission for prescribing matters.
