Ro vs Mochi Health

Edited by Gabriel BrocklesbyFounder & EditorFact-checked

Short answer: both charge a membership and then the medication, but they sell different medicine. Ro's membership ($39 for the first month, then $74 to $149 a month by plan) buys access to FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1s from $149 a month at the first dose, so $298 a month ongoing on a monthly plan (checked November 8, 2026). Mochi Health's membership ($79 a month, or $49 a month prepaid for 12 months) buys live video visits with a board-certified provider and a choice of pharmacy, then you buy the medicine: compounded semaglutide from $60, compounded tirzepatide from $90, or brand-name Wegovy from $199 and Zepbound from $299, "as low as" prices that rise with the dose (checked November 8, 2026). Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved.

For anyone comparing two membership-plus-medication models, one brand-name only and one that also sells compounded GLP-1s from a pharmacy marketplace. Every figure is read from each provider's own pages, with the date. The Ro buttons on this page are affiliate links: PCF may earn a commission if you sign up with Ro through them, at no cost to you. Quick editorial read

Ro and Mochi Health both charge a membership and then the medication. Ro's membership is the dearer of the two and buys access to brand-name GLP-1s priced at every dose, with an insurance concierge; Mochi's is cheaper and buys live video visits with a board-certified provider and a pharmacy marketplace selling compounded and brand-name medicine at "as low as" prices. This page sets out what each states. It does not rank one above the other.

At-a-glance comparison

Ro.co

Full profile
Best for
People who want FDA-approved brand-name GLP-1 medication (the Wegovy pill, Foundayo, the Wegovy pen or Zepbound) from a large, established telehealth company, and who may want to try insurance first. It suits less well anyone looking for the lowest possible monthly cost, because compounded programs print lower prices and Ro sells brand-name medication only.
Pricing
Ro Body membership: $39 for the first month, then $149 a month on the monthly plan, $99 on the 3-month plan, $89 on the 6-month plan or $74 on the 12-month plan prepaid annually. Medication is a second charge: the Wegovy pill and Foundayo pill start at $149 a month and Zepbound KwikPen at $299. At the lowest starting dose, month one comes to $188 and each month after to $298 on the monthly plan (our arithmetic on Ro's figures, checked November 8, 2026).
Access
FDA-approved brand-name medication only: the Wegovy pill (daily semaglutide tablet), the Foundayo pill (daily orforglipron), the Wegovy pen (weekly semaglutide), Zepbound as a KwikPen and a pen (weekly tirzepatide), and Ozempic. No compounded GLP-1 is listed on Ro's weight-loss pages read on October 18, 2026.

Mochi Health

Limited
Best for
People who want a live video visit with a named, board certified prescriber, a choice of pharmacy and price for each medication, and the option of insurance for visits and brand name medication. It suits less well anyone who wants one all-in price: the membership and the medication are two subscriptions.
Pricing
A $79 a month membership ($49 a month on the prepaid 12 month plan) plus medication from $60 for compounded semaglutide and $90 for compounded tirzepatide, "as low as" prices that vary with the dose and by state (checked November 8, 2026). Brand name medication is priced the same way: Wegovy from $199, Zepbound from $299 and the Wegovy pill from $149, on top of the membership.
Access
Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections, a compounded semaglutide pill and compounded orforglipron, which Mochi states are not approved or evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality; and brand name Wegovy, the Wegovy pill, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic and Foundayo, plus metformin, if prescribed. Prices vary with the dose and by state.

Is Mochi Health cheaper than Ro?

For compounded medication, yes, on the published figures, and the gap is the medicine. Mochi's membership ($79 a month) plus compounded semaglutide from $60 comes to $139 at the lowest dose (checked November 8, 2026), against Ro's $298 a month at the starting dose with brand-name medication (checked November 8, 2026). Compounded medication is not FDA-approved; Ro's is a brand-name, FDA-approved product.

For brand-name medication the two are close. Mochi lists Wegovy "as low as" $199, Zepbound $299 and the Wegovy pill $149, on top of its $79 membership (so $278 with Wegovy at the lowest figure); Ro lists the Wegovy pill from $149 and Zepbound from $299, on top of its $149 monthly membership. Both say the medication price rises with the dose; Mochi adds that it varies by state. Mochi's cheaper memberships need a prepaid 3, 6 or 12 month plan ($49 a month on the 12-month plan, $588 at once); Ro's 12-month plan is $74 a month, prepaid annually. For Ro's figures over 3, 6 and 12 months, see the US GLP-1 price index.

Compounded or brand-name: what each sells

Ro's weight-loss pages, read on October 18, 2026, list brand-name medicines only: the Wegovy pill and pen, the Foundayo pill, Zepbound and Ozempic. The word "compound" does not appear. A licensed provider decides which, if any, you are prescribed, and Ro says it only charges the membership if you are eligible.

Mochi Health's weight-loss page (read October 29, 2026) lists both, each with an "as low as" price: compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide injections, a compounded semaglutide pill and compounded orforglipron, and brand-name Zepbound, Wegovy, the Wegovy pill, Foundayo, Mounjaro and Ozempic, plus metformin. Mochi states: "Compounded medications are not approved or evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Medications and diagnostic services not included in membership subscription. Medication availability and pricing vary by state."

Visits, pharmacies, refunds and the public record

The visit is the clearest difference. Ro's providers review an online intake. Mochi's model is a live 30-minute video visit with a board-certified provider you pick from its directory (its FAQ says the first visit is within a week of signing up and that you can switch providers), with unlimited visits in the membership and labs priced separately. Ro says cash-pay medication ships to your door and insured medication is picked up at your pharmacy; Mochi runs a pharmacy marketplace, where you compare pharmacies in your account and choose one, for delivery or local pickup. Mochi does not name those pharmacies on its public pages.

On refunds both are strict. Ro refunds the first month's membership if you are not eligible for GLP-1s; after that the membership is non-refundable once paid, prescription products are final sale, and you must cancel at least 48 hours before renewal. Mochi's refund policy says all prescription sales are final; its terms (effective August 25, 2023, read October 29, 2026) say it does not refund partly used subscription periods, that medication fees are not refundable once an order has gone to a pharmacy, that you cancel in your account or by telephone (an email does not count), and that cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term. The membership and any medication subscription are separate and each must be canceled.

The public records: the BBB rates Ro A+ with 747 complaints in three years (read October 18, 2026) and Mochi Health A+, accredited since August 23, 2026, with 1,425 complaints in three years and 228 in the last twelve months on a file opened December 28, 2023 (read October 29, 2026); the BBB's own note says the complaints it processed "are related to cancellations" and that memberships and medication subscriptions must be canceled independently. Trustpilot shows 3.9 from 7,231 reviews for Ro (read October 18, 2026) and 4.5 from 19,894 for Mochi (read October 29, 2026), 81% of them five star and 9% one star; Mochi invites its customers to review. We found no FDA warning letter addressed to either (fda.gov searches, October 18 and 29, 2026), which is "none found" rather than proof. The Ro review sets out the complaint themes behind Ro's figures.

Who each suits

Ro, on the facts above: someone who wants brand-name medication only, with the cash price of every dose published before they start, an insurance check and a concierge, from a large telehealth brand, and who accepts a $149 monthly (or $74 prepaid) membership on top.

Mochi Health, on the facts above: someone who wants a live video visit with a named, board-certified prescriber, a choice between compounded and brand-name medicine and between pharmacies, insurance for the visits, and a lower membership ($79 a month, less prepaid), and who will keep track of two subscriptions and accept that prescription sales are final.

This page does not rank one above the other, and none of it is medical advice: a licensed clinician decides whether GLP-1 treatment is appropriate for you. PCF may earn a commission if you sign up with Ro through the links on this page; it earns nothing from Mochi Health.

How to choose

Ro and Mochi Health both charge a membership and then the medication. Ro's membership is the dearer of the two and buys access to brand-name GLP-1s priced at every dose, with an insurance concierge; Mochi's is cheaper and buys live video visits with a board-certified provider and a pharmacy marketplace selling compounded and brand-name medicine at "as low as" prices. This page sets out what each states. It does not rank one above the other.

The right provider is the one that can explain eligibility, costs, side effects, refills, and support before you commit. Avoid treating GLP-1 access as a generic checkout flow; consultation is required and availability varies.

Ro: membership $39 for the first month, then $74 to $149 a month by plan, plus medication from $149 a month at the first dose and Zepbound from $299 (checked November 8, 2026). Mochi Health: membership $79 a month ($49 a month prepaid for 12 months), plus medication "as low as" $60 for compounded semaglutide, $90 for compounded tirzepatide, $199 for Wegovy and $299 for Zepbound (checked November 8, 2026).

Brand-name medication only at Ro: the Wegovy pill and pen, the Foundayo pill, Zepbound and Ozempic. Compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide, a semaglutide pill and orforglipron at Mochi Health, which states they are not FDA-approved, alongside brand-name Wegovy, the Wegovy pill, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic and Foundayo, plus metformin. A licensed clinician decides which, if any, is right for you.

Users comparing local care can also review PCF city hubs such as Miami, New York, and Los Angeles.

Ro has its own review: the Ro review sets out its membership plans, its medication price at every dose, its insurance check and its cancellation terms. PCF has no Mochi Health review; the Mochi facts on this page were read from joinmochi.com, Trustpilot and the BBB on October 29, 2026.

Consultation, delivery, and follow-up

Both begin with an online questionnaire. Ro's providers review it and prescribe if appropriate; Ro says it only charges the membership if you are eligible and refunds the first month if you are not eligible for GLP-1s. Mochi books a live video visit with a provider you choose, orders labs if needed, and handles prior authorization for insured medication.

Ro says cash-pay medication ships to your door and insured medication is picked up at your pharmacy. Mochi says you choose a pharmacy from its network, comparing prices, and the medication is delivered or made ready for local pickup.

If a provider cannot clearly explain who reviews your intake, how side effects are handled, or what happens when your refill is due, keep comparing before you proceed.

Ro.co

Ro is the clearest of the big brands on price: it prints every membership plan and the medication price at each dose. It is not the cheapest way to a GLP-1, because the membership sits on top of brand-name medication. It makes most sense if you want a brand-name medicine, a long-established company, or a free check on whether insurance will pay.

Pros

  • Publishes every membership plan and the medication price at each dose
  • Brand-name, FDA-approved medicines only
  • Free insurance check, with an insurance concierge that handles the paperwork
  • The first month is refunded if you are not eligible for GLP-1s
  • Long-established: BBB lists the business as started in April 2017, with an A+ rating

Considerations

  • Two charges: the membership is on top of the medication, so the starting-dose total is $298 a month on the monthly plan
  • Medication prices rise with the dose: up to $299 for the Wegovy pill at 9 mg and 25 mg, checked Nov 6, 2026; $299 for the Foundayo pill at 14.5 mg and 17.2 mg, checked Nov 6, 2026; $399 for the Wegovy pen at 7.2 mg (Wegovy HD), checked Nov 6, 2026; $449 for the Zepbound KwikPen at 10 mg to 15 mg, checked Nov 6, 2026
  • Once paid, the membership fee is non-refundable, and prescription products are final sale
  • Cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the renewal date or the next membership fee is charged
  • No compounded option, so it is not the cheapest route to a GLP-1

Mochi Health

Mochi Health is a marketplace with a doctor attached: you pay a membership for the visits, then buy each prescription from a pharmacy you choose at a price per dose. That gives you a video visit with a named, board certified prescriber and more choice of medicine and pharmacy than most online programs, and it also gives you two subscriptions to keep track of, which is what its BBB complaints are about. Its Trustpilot record is large and mostly five star; its BBB file is young and busy. PCF holds no commercial relationship with Mochi Health and publishes no rating of its own.

Pros

  • A live 30 minute video visit with a board certified provider you pick, not an asynchronous form review.
  • Both compounded and FDA approved brand name medication, with insurance accepted for visits and brand name prescriptions.
  • You choose the pharmacy for each prescription from Mochi's network and can compare prices before you buy.
  • A large, mostly five star Trustpilot profile (19,894 reviews, 81% five star) and a BBB rating of A+ (read October 29, 2026).

Considerations

  • Two subscriptions, membership and medication, that renew separately and must each be canceled; the BBB says the complaints it processed relate to cancellations.
  • All prescription sales are final, and Mochi does not refund partly used subscription periods.
  • Mochi does not name the pharmacies in its network on the pages we read; the choice is made inside the account.
  • 1,425 BBB complaints in three years, 228 in the last twelve months, on a file opened December 28, 2023 (read October 29, 2026).
  • Medication prices are "as low as" figures that rise with the dose and vary by state, so your total is not known until you are prescribed.
  • Compounded medications are not FDA approved.

Frequently asked questions

Is Mochi Health cheaper than Ro?

For compounded medication, yes, on the published figures: Mochi's $79 membership plus compounded semaglutide from $60 is $139 at the lowest dose (checked November 8, 2026), against Ro's $298 a month at the starting dose with brand-name medication (checked November 8, 2026). With brand-name medication at Mochi (Wegovy from $199) the totals are close. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved.

Does Mochi Health's membership include the medication?

No. Mochi states that medications and diagnostic services are not included in the membership subscription; each medicine has its own "as low as" price on top of the $79 a month membership, and it is a separate subscription. Ro's membership does not include the medication either.

Does Ro sell compounded GLP-1 like Mochi?

No. Ro's weight-loss pages, read on October 18, 2026, list FDA-approved brand-name medicines only. Mochi sells compounded semaglutide, tirzepatide, a semaglutide pill and orforglipron, and states that compounded medications are not approved or evaluated by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality, as well as brand-name GLP-1s.

Do you see a doctor on video with Ro or Mochi?

Mochi: yes, a live 30-minute video visit with a board-certified provider you choose, with unlimited visits in the membership. Ro: an online intake reviewed by one of Ro's licensed providers, with ongoing check-ins and 1:1 messaging.

Which pharmacy does Mochi Health use?

Mochi runs a network of pharmacies and says you compare them and choose one inside your account; it does not name them on the pages we read (October 29, 2026). Ro says cash-pay medication ships to your door and insured medication is picked up at your pharmacy.

Can I get a refund from Mochi Health?

Mochi's refund policy says all prescription sales are final. Its terms say it does not refund partly used subscription periods, though it may at its discretion, that medication fees are not refundable once an order has gone to a pharmacy, and that cancellation (in your account or by telephone) takes effect at the end of the current term. Ro refunds the first month's membership if you are not eligible; after that the membership is non-refundable and prescription products are final sale.

What do the Ro and Mochi Health public records show?

BBB: Ro A+ with 747 complaints in three years (read October 18, 2026); Mochi Health A+, accredited since August 23, 2026, with 1,425 complaints in three years, which the BBB says relate to cancellations (read October 29, 2026). Trustpilot: Ro 3.9 from 7,231 reviews (read October 18, 2026); Mochi 4.5 from 19,894 (read October 29, 2026). No FDA warning letter addressed to either was found. Neither figure is a clinical assessment.
